THE FILM EXHIBITION CONTROL LAW, 2015 and THE FILM EXHIBITION CONTROL BILL, 2015 outline the considerations for all applications made in relation to the issue, suspension and revocation of a cinema licence.

There are also provisions to enforce regulations to protect children from exposure to harmful film content and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on these premises.

These laws set out the application procedure to be followed by persons or businesses who wish to publicly exhibit a film on premises identified for that purpose.They include the requirements for payment of the specified fee and the related evidence confirming the condition of the premises in compliance with the relevant planning, building, safety and health laws.
