Small Business Development Unit

The Small Business Development programme was established in 2005 to promote and facilitate entrepreneurial activity and provide support for the small business sector in the Cayman Islands. It gives technical assistance and advice to (i) entrepreneurs who wish to start a business and (ii) existing small businesses that need assistance with operational or expansion plans. The Small Business Development Unit (SBDU) also offers a dynamic training programme that enhances the skills and competencies of business owners and their employees.

Valuable partners include the Cayman Islands Development Bank, our commercial lending institutions, and professional groups including the Cayman Island Small Business Association, the Caymans Islands Chamber of Commerce and the Cayman Angel Investor Network.
