About Tabias

Tabias is a Caymanian student who has been attending UCCI since 2016. During his time at UCCI, he attained an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration as well as the Cayman Islands Banking Certificate. At the beginning of his academic journey, Tabias started in Psychology, then explored human resources, and has found his desired field, marketing.

Mr Bush’s hard work and dedication to study and pursue tertiary education have proven useful through his expertise in multiple disciplines. Tabias has worn many hats over the years and is experienced in Operations, Compliance, Marketing, HR, etc. Outside of academics, Mr Bush keeps up with the latest marketing trends related to social media by reading articles on pages like Social Media Today and Later, which he applies to his professional development.

IC Internship Experience

Mr. Bush has had a productive internship experience thus far. Writing copy for InvestCayman social media platforms and assisting with success stories, and testimonials, Tabias is pleased that he can apply theories learned in school related to consumer behaviour, hashtag strategies, and target audiences.

Goals

Tabias has set clear goals that he strives to achieve during his time at InvestCayman. He plans to enhance his communication, content creation, research, and creativity skills and work with Mrs Whitelocke to attain these goals throughout the internship. Tabias hopes to get experience in additional marketing applications, such as Hootsuite and Mailchimp, that are used in marketing. In turn, this will enable him to be well-equipped to become an effective marketer and inspiration to other Caymanians wanting to pursue a marketing career.

“Marketing does not happen in a vacuum, and the benefits of it cannot be seen overnight.” – InvestCayman Intern, Tabias Bush.
